If you are experiencing the following issues:
1. When viewing a recipe, sometimes the ingredients or directions show up blank. If you close the recipe and re-open it, sometimes it will show the ingredients and directions, sometimes it will not.
2. The browser will not load webpages correctly. Clicking on a link will show a loading indicator but the new webpage never actually renders. When you type into the browser search box it doesn't show the text you typed.
We have recently discovered these issues are caused by a graphics driver bug on certain new computers that use Intel 11th generation processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics cards. You can check whether your computer has an Intel Iris Xe graphics card by running the Direct X diagnostic tool as described here:
Click on the display tab and check if the device name says: Intel (R) Iris (R) Xe Graphics
If you are experiencing this problem, update to the latest version of Paprika by going to Help -> Check for Updates or directly downloading and installing it here:
https://www.paprikaapp.com/downloads/windows/latest/PaprikaSetup.msi
Then go to Paprika's Settings -> General, set the Render Mode option to Software Only, and restart the app.
Update 6/8/2021: Intel has released a new graphics driver that fixes this issue. You can download it here:
(Updating your graphics driver is preferable to changing the Render Mode option to Software Only. Software rendering can be much slower, especially when playing videos in the browser.)
